It is a pleasure to introduce you to the MBA Department at GIET, Gangapatna, Bhubaneswar. Established in 2021, the department has already made significant strides in offering high-quality management education in response to the growing demand for skilled professionals in various industries. With a vision to foster a culture of academic excellence, ethical practices, and holistic development, our department offers a dynamic learning environment that encourages students to push boundaries and excel in their careers. Our MBA program is thoughtfully designed to cater to a diverse range of interests and professional aspirations. We offer specializations in three critical areas of management—Human Resources (HR), Marketing, and Finance. These specializations enable students to gain in-depth knowledge in their chosen fields while also equipping them with essential cross-functional skills that are valuable across industries. The program is spread over two years and is designed with a comprehensive curriculum, interactive learning methodologies, and exposure to real-world business challenges. We have a total of 120 seats, allowing us to maintain an optimal student-to-faculty ratio, which enables personalized mentorship and guidance for each student. The strength of any academic department lies in its faculty, and we are proud to have a dedicated team of experienced and passionate educators. Each faculty member brings a wealth of industry experience, academic expertise, and a genuine commitment to the growth of our students.Dr. Samikshya Mishra, Assistant Professor of Marketing, is instrumental in equipping students with the latest marketing strategies and tools, helping them understand market dynamics and consumer behavior to make impactful business decisions.Prof. Ratnamanjari Mishra, Assistant Professor of Finance, brings a depth of knowledge in financial management, investment analysis, and risk assessment, guiding students to make informed financial decisions and understand the financial intricacies of the corporate world.Prof. Amaresh Sathpathy, Assistant Professor of Human Values and Ethics, plays a key role in instilling a sense of responsibility, ethical decision-making, and personal integrity in our students, ensuring they become not only successful professionals but also responsible and ethical leaders. Prof. Shiva Ram Patnaik, Assistant Professor in Organizational Behavior (OB) and Human Resources (HR), brings about a rich experience in Human resource to the department, enriching the learning experience with his unique blend of expertise in Industry and academia. Dr. Maitrayee Rout, Associate Professor in OB & HR, along with my esteemed colleagues, I am committed in providing our students with a solid foundation in organizational behavior and human resources management. Together, we strive to nurture well-rounded individuals with leadership qualities, analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of the complexities of the business world. We emphasize a learner-centric approach, combining theoretical concepts with practical applications.   1. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex managerial problems reaching substantiated conclusions using the strategies and concepts of HR, Marketing, Finance and Operations.

  2. Design / development of solutions: Design solutions for complex business problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

  3. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

  4. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to administrative activities with an understanding of the limitations.
